Animals were immunized with neonatal bovine thymocytes. Spleen cells were fused with NS1 myeloma cells. The antibody is specific for an antigen on bovine T cells that is analogous to the human CD5 antigen. The antigen is expressed on CD2 positive T cells, WC1 positive T cells and a subset of B cells. This antibody was included in the panel of the International Workshop on Bovine, Sheep and Goat Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens in 1989. |
